ABOUT RENAISSANCE EXECUTIVE FORUMS

Renaissance EXECUTIVE FORUMS of Charlotte is affiliated with Renaissance EXECUTIVE FORUMS, Inc., based in La Jolla, CA. The company has Forum groups in over 50 cities and ten countries throughout the Western Hemisphere. Our programs are designed to help Top Executives get from where they are now to where they want to be, both personally and professionally.

 

This affiliation provides the Charlotte organization with resources, support, and connections to small business experts that keep our members on the cutting edge of new ideas and technology.

Meet The Executive Forums Team

Tim Pulliam

 

Tim Pulliam is the President, Chief Operating Officer and Co-leader of Renaissance Executive Forums of Charlotte.He brings over 24 years of experience in corporate leadership roles within industries including Manufacturing, Supply Chain Logistics, Distribution, Global Shipping, Intermodal, Retail, and B2B / B2C e-Commerce.He started his career at Ford Motor Company in their college graduate leadership development program. He later held positions as Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer in several $250M - $300M mid-sized corporations in the Charlotte NC area.He has been in technology leadership throughout his career.

 

Tim has a passion for business and takes a strategic approach to solving business issues. He is financially savvy, with a strong track record of improving operational efficiencies while leading teams and leveraging technology to improve and grow the bottom line.He has grown business areas by leveraging his expertise in the areas of strategic planning, business/technology alignment, ROI and cost control, team building, coaching, negotiation, continuous improvement, and program management.He is a strategic, practical, and business-focused leader who possesses both exceptional business acumen and deep technological expertise.

 

Tim proudly served as a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Computer Science from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Barbara Busey

Barbara has been with Executive Forums Charlotte since 2011 and serves as the Director of Forum Operations. In that role, she delivers many of the Educational Components—including the annual Strategies for Success program; helps members with their Focused Executive presentations; helps speakers with their presentations and PowerPoint; supports Tom and Tim in their training offerings and the meeting agendas; coordinates and facilitates meetings; manages PR, web site and other communications; and just generally supports our members in whatever they need to give their Forum membership the most value.

Barbara’s career background is that of a speaker, trainer, author and coach in the arena of business communication. In her 35-year business background, she has been:

​

• a business owner of her own training firm

• a corporate employee in advertising, marketing, and public relations

• a college instructor in speech communication and journalism

​

She has a Master’s degree in Speech Communication from Georgia State University and a Bachelor’s in Journalism from the University of Georgia.

Tom Jackson

 

Tom Jackson was the Founder of Renaissance Executive Forums of Charlotte. He started the business in 1996, growing it to the 2nd largest REF Forums organization in the country. Tom brought over 40 years of experience in working with senior executives of Fortune 500 companies and owners of small to mid-sized, privately owned companies. He started his career working for two Fortune 500 companies in strategic planning and mergers & acquisitions. He also worked for First Union National Bank as Director of Mergers & Acquisitions within the Investment Banking Group.

Tom founded and managed his own independent merger and acquisition firm for many years, closing 125 business sale transactions and providing corporate finance advisory services to a wide range of Southeastern companies. Additionally, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Supreme Corporation, a $50 million manufacturer located in Mullins, South Carolina, where he gained hands-on experience actually running a mid-sized company.
